Baena is an area with a great tradition of olive groves, where olive trees have adapted to the soil and the climate of the region. Traditional mills and the people there have provided the region with its particular essence and it has won a reputation for the quality of the virgin oil that it produces, thus giving way to D.O. Baena.
Quality virgin olive oil must retain the range of tastes that derive from the fruit, and the virgin olive oil from the qualified denomination of origin from Baena, does so. These oil presses work in a cold environment, and so the first extraction oil is rigorously separated, preventing the heat from altering the vitamin and aromatic components of the final product. The oil with D.O. Baena is fruity, being its intensity dependable on the degree of maturity of the olive.
